Most traders assume that if they just watch the market long enough, skill will follow. It rarely does. Watching is passive. Skill is built by making decisions, getting honest feedback, and adjusting, over and over.
Reps plus feedback
Deliberate practice has two ingredients: a high volume of realistic repetitions, and immediate feedback on each one. A live market gives you neither in any useful quantity. A good setup might appear once a day, and the feedback (your P&L) is tangled up with fear and money.
Replaying real history flips this. You can take hundreds of setups back to back, each one scored, each one replayable until the right call feels automatic. That is how months of experience get compressed into an afternoon.

Track win rate, average R and your most common mistakes. When your practice is measured, weaknesses surface fast, and you fix the few things that actually move your results.
